How to Schedule Your Sewing Machine Servicing:
Find your machine type below. Mechanical machine service is $135 + tax, and computerized machine service is $155 + tax.
Please note: I only service home domestic sewing machines. I do NOT service industrial/commercial machines, sergers, coverstitch machines, embroidery machines, or modern Bernina machines.
Use either the "Request Computerized Service" or "Request Mechanical Service" button below, which takes you to an intake form.
Fill out and submit the intake form.
I'll contact you within two business days to schedule a time to bring me your sewing machine. Since I work out of my home, I meet customers for machine drop-off and pick-up at Third Place Commons in Lake Forest Park (17171 Bothell Way NE, Lake Forest Park, WA 98155). There's plenty of parking, a lovely bookstore right next to the commons, and a Chocolate Man shop and yarn store downstairs!
Read the important details below about the bench fee due at drop-off, turn-around time, warranty, and what to bring when you drop off your machine!
Important Details:
My standard turn-around time is two weeks.
All machine servicing comes with a FREE 30-day labor warranty.
Bobbin & Gear LLC operates exclusively as a cashless business. Cash, personal checks, and money orders are not accepted under any circumstances. I accept major credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, and secure bank transfers.
A $40 bench fee is due electronically when you drop off your machine. This fee will be applied to your final servicing total.
Once servicing is complete, I will email you the final invoice to be paid before you pick up your machine. I will also text the invoice if you check that option when filling out the servicing form. Funds must fully clear before your pick-up can be completed. Note: bank transfers take 2 to 5 business days to clear. For immediate, same-day machine release, please pay your invoice using a credit/debit card or Apple Pay.
I specialize in sewing machine servicing and can do minor repairs on a case-by-case basis. I do not perform complex mechanical rebuilds or repair or replace internal computer components. If my initial inspection reveals significant repair needs beyond my scope of service, I will contact you immediately so you can take your machine to a specialized repair shop. In these cases, the machine will be returned to you, and the $40 bench fee will be retained to cover the time spent diagnosing the issue.
When dropping off your machine, please make sure to ONLY include:
The thread and bobbin you were last using (especially if there was an issue)
A standard zig-zag presser foot
The foot pedal and power cord
Nothing else! Please remove all other items from your storage box or case.
My complete terms, including my machine abandonment policy, are detailed in my service intake form for you to review when booking.
