Important Details:

• Please note: I only service home domestic sewing machines. I do NOT service industrial/commercial machines, sergers, coverstitch machines, embroidery machines, or modern Bernina machines.

• I'll contact you within 24 hours to schedule a time to bring me your sewing machine. Since I work out of my home, I meet customers for machine drop-off and pick-up at the three following public locations:

  • Third Place Commons in Lake Forest Park (17171 Bothell Way NE, Lake Forest Park, WA 98155, open daily 8 am to 9 pm.)

  • Keepsake Cottage Fabrics in Bothell (17928 Bothell-Everett Highway, Suite C, Bothell, WA 98012, open Tuesdays-Saturdays 11 am to 4 pm)

  • The Hangar at Town Square in Kenmore (6728 NE 181 St, Kenmore, WA 98028, open Monday-Saturday 6 am t0 8 pm, Sundays 7 am t0 6 pm).

• My current turn-around time is one week, but may be more if your machine requires a new part that needs to be ordered or when I'm experiencing a higher volume of customers.

• I specialize in sewing machine servicing and can do minor repairs on a case-by-case basis. I do not perform complex mechanical rebuilds or repair or replace internal computer components. If my initial inspection reveals significant repair needs beyond my scope of service, I will contact you immediately so you can take your machine to a specialized repair shop. In these cases, the machine will be returned to you, and the $40 bench fee will be retained to cover the time spent diagnosing the issue.

• All machine servicing comes with a 30-day labor warranty starting from the date of return.

• Bobbin & Gear LLC operates exclusively as a cashless business, which means I only accepts major credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, and secure bank transfers. Cash, personal checks, and money orders are not accepted.

• A $40 bench fee is due electronically when you drop off your machine. This fee will be applied to your final servicing total.

• Once servicing is complete, I will email you the final invoice to be paid before you pick up your machine. I will text you to let you know that your machine is finished and that the invoice is in your email inbox.

• When dropping off your machine, please make sure to ONLY include:

  • The thread and bobbin you were last using (especially if there was an issue)

  • A standard zig-zag presser foot

  • The foot pedal and power cord

  • Nothing else! Please remove all other items from your storage box or case.
